The Ardeche Gorges is best known for canoeing or kayaking down the river but there are many other ways to explore the natural environment: in a flat-bottomed boat with a skilled boatsman at the helm, or by hiking, potholing or climbing (in certain designated areas), on your own or with qualified instructors.
